2 red rings on 360, what now.

I have just played my 360 for 20 minutes and it stopped and started flashing 2 red sections

Its the 2 vertically red ones. What to do now?

Its a Elite and i brought it 2 years ago.

I don't think i have insurance on it.

What time dose the Microsoft warranty run for?

Is there anything i can do?

Warranty runs for 3 years and your 2 red rings qualifies to be fixed for free.

2 red rings is a severe overheating, have you been keeping it dust free? away from heat sources, not on DVD players etc.

It sits on my chest of draws. I took it downstairs this weekend for a MW2 weekend. (Beer and Pizza FTW) but then turned it on tonight and it went as i was about to chase the guy through the Favela.

I don't have a receipt for the one I just got fixed under warranty.
Head to >>THIS<< page, register your console after signing in and it'll tell you if it's under warranty and then guide you through returning it if it is.

This is of course presuming you don't just do it yourself. Personally I'd use M$ if you're covered.

Ok looked at the you tube videos.

Aparntly its just a matter of cleaning the filter inside and cleaning basicly everything.

Tbh no. I just striped it and cleaned it. Still flashing at me so. i guess i either gotta fix it myself or find some one to do it for me.

Cleaning it will do sweet FA if you've got the RROD, it needs the solder joints in the GPU reflowing again.
