OK, so around June/July I've organised a massive party in some field with loads of friends and basically need to try and find the cheapest way to get loads of alcohol.

Not necessarily getting the cheapest stuff of tesco/sainsburies/etc. I can't actually drink tesco value vodka. It's vile and tastes like paintstripper Laughing

Wholesalers/etc. Planning on having beers, bitch drinks and spirits with mixers to get absolutely wasted

Oh and if anyone knows of any decent portable cd/ipod player that'd be great. I've got an awesome ipod player thing but it runs of mains so no go. Needs to be loud and have good base Wink

Ta very much

Contact your local brewery, I can get very nice ale in very large quantities for <£1 a pint from my local...

Make up cocktails - like:
cheeky vimtos can be made using very cheap port and imitation blue WKD and is likely to taste no worse than the actual drink made with decent port
Posh Pimms - buy Lidl (or Aldi, can't remember which) knock-off Pimms (I think it's called Austins, a girl brought some to a friend's Christmas party and we made warm Pimms with it and it was actually really nice) and cheap Brut (fizz)
Mulled Cider: Cheapest nastiest cider you can lay your grubby hands on, heat it up in a big keg, chuck in some spices and apples. Thumbs Up Surprisingly tasty.

You'll be wanting a 12v amplifier and a couple of car batteries. Or a converter like this one from Maplins: https://www.maplin.co.uk/searchtemplate.asp?criteria=12V%20AMPLIFIER

+1.

You can get dover / calais crossing for next to nothing. It's a shame Andorra wasn't closer because you could spend £100 on alcohol and fill a small van.

We always found Asda was as cheap if not cheaper than any wholesale/cash & carry place. If you want to add a little tang to your drink, source it at Lidl or Aldi. It'll either be bloody good or bloody awful but either way; it'll be cheap.

Whatever you do, don't advertise your party on facebook etc. There was a story about a family bbq that got broken up by riot police, as I recall there was even a helicopter in attendance.

We trawled around for ages getting 'supplies' for our sanctioned get-to-gethers (held under the auspices of a very large youth organisation) and got it down to a fine art.

More drink drink drink than dib dib dib.

Its a field party...

They are always meant to be "bangin raves m8" but invariably turn out to be a group of people huddling under tarps in the rain with some DnB being played from a PA in the back of a van.

Always fun though!! Very Happy Well they are until your speeded up mate keeps waking you up to "get up mate get up, you didn't come here just to sleep in a field...." at 4am (it was an early one).

Well done on getting your shit together now though, lots of people leave it to last minute and therein lies the fail!

Thumbs Up

Yes, that's exactly what I mean. Santa. Shifty

Although I now have a nice black one with "Bar Ninja" written in red. It's awesome Laughing

Yeah, TBH, I didn't think many people would say yes Shocked

Pa system and generator might be a bit tricky...

I'll be doing rounds on all the supermarkets, and I /might/ be able to ask my employer if we can get some cheap vino/alcohol (work in a restaurant) from their wholesaler.

It is on bookface, but it's secret and I've only invited people I can trust with no fucking anything up. Which seems to be a lot of people these days... No one can invite to it, no one can see it.

Illegal? Pffft. I have no idea what you're talking about. If things go right, I may actually be able to get permission...

Haha, it's sort of in a field. There's this wooden area, surrounded by trees. Almost creating like a "cave" of sorts and inside is just mud with plenty of room for some shenanigans.

Haha, lots of my friends were like "omg you wrote so much one the thing". Because I don't plan to have any sort of fail Wink

Sounds pretty cool, if you are planning to have fires then be very careful. I used to own a load of woods, and I found out drunken kids always used to fuck about with fires and do dangerous shit...

I used to have "pikey parties" in my old caravan with my mates and that was a laugh, until they covered the ceiling with candle soot that wouldn't come off.

I'd have a party regardless of permission, so long as its not in a location that will be discovered. Of course it goes without saying to not fuck up someones land and take all your shit home etc etc, tbh though I'm sure you will be perfectly respectful anyway....

If I'm still in the country I want to come.

No idea about the booze, but you can hire/borrow a generator easily enough. Would make far more sense then any portable jobbies.

Or, get a mate with a good sound system to park up with a spare charged battery.

Rubbish was my first and foremost point. I made it clear that I want everyone to help to not leave shit there. And there's dump 5 minutes drive away too so there'll be no bother with it. Got lots of black bags as well.

And you can't drive there. The closest place to park up is 5 minutes walk away. Nearest house is 1000ft away (according to google maps) and there's absolutely nowhere for people to see anything unless you walk past it. Went there earlier today to have a look at it. Trees have faded and it's a bit flooded (there is normally a stream) but it should be fine for summer. Leafs will grow back and the "pool" should hopefully go away... Hopefully. Neutral There'll be no problem with fires, we're not 14 or so. Been there a few times before. Never had any worries. Spent new years eve there with an ex. Woke up in the morning to walk back and saw a few dog walkers who said "good morning" and smiled. Like all the other times. We've never had any bother. Though I'm sure this'll be the biggest amount!

Oh and it's going to happen regardless. I was thinking of possibly hiring out this place near me. Some caves and have a proper cave rave. Might have a look into it. Could get some UV lights and have a proper neon cave rave Cool So I got two places to think off, but the caves would be harder to set up. Easier with parking though. Laughing

Hmmm, £50 quid normally = about 10 people in my sort of parties! Everyone will be chipping in. I don't mine the whole drink what ya brung thing, but I hate the people that bring a case of beer and have it with themselves and only themselves and don't share. And usually spend the night hanging out with only a few people. I want everyone to mingle with each other. Everyone to know everybody and drink everything together. That's why I suggested to everyone that they chip in a certain amount and I will hopefully be able to get cheap booze of all sorts to cater for everyone. I hate wine, can't stand beer so I drink spirits only. Will get everyone sorted, I hope.

Thinking Did I not send you an invite? Hmm must have skipped by mistake. Pretty much invited most of the BCF guys I thought would enjoy it... Will have a looksee/send one.

Like I said, no way to drive there. Can only walk. Will check on a generator.
