Hi - new here and looking for some pointers to a wee problem I am dealing with
I have a few track days lined up this year and got to thinking that I need a change of bike. I have had my 2004 ZX-10R since new and whilst it has been fun I fancy a change to a big twin again ... I have been looking around and I have shortlisted a few bikes that are available locally and are in mint condition. Gonna ride them but not on track so looking for feedback on em from that perspective mainly but road based comments would be useful too ... with their sticker price they are:
2006 Aprillia RSV R Factory - £5400
2008 KTM RC8 (200 miles!!) - £8970
2009 Ducati 1198 S with som extras- £12,500
I threw the Duc in as a benchmark for my benefit (hope it aint that good I 'll really want it!!) so wondering which of the Aprillia & KTM to go for ???? |

RSV very time.
The difference would buy a fair bit of gas, and summer's on it's way! ____________________ I was only doing what it said on my licence officer....

the duke imo is unjustifiably expensive, you could by 3 of your current bikes for the same price,
the 03-04 model ninja is know for being a handful so if you dont have a damper, i applaud you for still being alive ,
iv seen the rc8 from as little as £7000+ with very low miles (2000ish)
id personally love to own one, although the engines not as strong as the dukes.
you get a lot of bling for your coin with the rsv r so that wouldn't be a bad buy either, they dont produce them any more so, in some years to come they could became more desirable ____________________ they say the good die young... i say we just live faster |
