I currently have a 19"LG tv using the component cable. I'm thinking of changing to a 24" monitor, this is cheaper than getting the same size TV. The monitors also seem to have higher "numbers" too so better value all round.

Has anyone used their monitor with a 360 via the VGA ? Hows the quality compared to component etc.... ?

Lookin at something like this

I use a 22" monitor to game on and i think its a million times better detail than a tv but some might argue that, any monitor should be alot better to be honest and like you said its a cheaper option so go for it.

I'm also using a 22" monitor.

It has VGA, HDMI and DVI inputs. VGA and HDMI seem similar can't notice a difference.

Try getting a monitor with HDMI input, then you dont have to buy the VGA adapter Thumbs Up

22" monitor running through a VGA cable here too. Make sure you get one thats 1080p and a decent response speed.

The HDMI on my 360 has never worked, my 19" tv didn't have a hdmi input ( only component ) so never bothered sending it back to get fixed. I'd also need a cable anyway so I had the optical out for the new headphones. Cool

The one I linked to above is full HD with a 2ms response time.
