Long story short, i started my PC this morning & after it loaded it just stayed on a black screen so i restarted it again & did the windows fix but after that loaded i got a blank screen again. I Opened the PC up & removed some dust then tried again & it loaded fine, but my keyboard & mouse had stopped working. I checked all connections inside the computer at least 10 times & everything was how it should be.

The mouse uses the PS/2 port & the keyboard a USB so both are stuffed.

New PC time or what?

Cheers.

Try a different keyboard. Sometimes that happens when you get a stuck key. Buggers the mouse too for some reason.

The thing is none of the USB ports are working, so it's not just the PS/2 ports. I tried connecting my phone via USB & nothing. The keyboard does however work with the laptop i'm on now.

Stab in the dark, but try connecting a PS/2 keyboard and using it to go into the BIOS and enable 'USB Legacy Support' or 'USB HID/Keyboard Support' or something similar, then save settings and reboot with your normal keyboard in.

Cheers guys. Yup, i get nothing, no lights or anything. It seems that every port is dead including the monitor.

I'm going to get a new motherboard & PSU as my PSU was shot anyway (not spinning). Hopefully it'll all work (& fit lol).
