Hi,

Just a quick one. Do I need the dashboard indicator lights for the MOT?

i was thinking indicator, er, indicators, or the full beam warning.

I can see the indicators from my normal riding position so I don't think they'll be a problem, but I don't know about the full beam warning.

I did look at that. I can only find the bit about indicators (you need a 'telltale' if you can't see them) but can't see a bit about any other lights, so I was wondering if anyone knew.

It's open to interpretation. You must have indicator warning lights (even if you can see the indicators). All lamps fitted to the vehicle are supposed to work...but I've passed MOTs with the clock/dash/high beam lights not working on bikes before. Best to ask the MOT tester in advance.

Non.

The manual states that a tell tale light isn't needed if the rider can see the indicators from where he sits.
