Obviously Keith and Stinkwheel are allowed theirs, but is everyone else now allowed them as well?

I think if they're subtle to the point where it takes months for people to notice anyway it's just fine. I'm considering turning mine in to an "animated" one (well, a tiny change in the image after 30 seconds or what ever). If there's some kind of un-written instant ban / karma rape punishment that I'm unaware of, I'd rather not though.

ms51ves3: why does it need 500 miles? Are you teaching it how to be a piston?

I think it's fair to say that whatever the rules are for other people, Ste should never be allowed one.

They only take months to notice if you're some kind of retard. Rolling Eyes

Casna, I'm pretty certain they are allowed now as more and more people are starting to use them and mods don't seem to be removing them.

Allowing them is just causing this place to slowly be turning into how visordown used to be. Rolling Eyes

Chill Winston.

I've only seen one more person add animation, two bits 'move', one is more subtle than the other.

I reckon very subtle animations should be allowed, but it should be a fine line to tread.

On this notion I decided to animate mine (not in my avatar), maybe people should give it a go and see how it works out and post the gifs here.

Howabout being helpful and listing the people who have them, rather than just grizzling about it? I haven't noticed any recently in the sections I frequent, indeed I think Cansa's was the last one I saw (and nuked).

If you have to look at them for more than 10 sec to tell they're animated, frankly I don't give a shit. In the grand scheme of 'turning into VD' they're hardly the biggest issue.

I once thought "How annoying can an 80x100 image with a 10k maximum really be?".

Then I made this:

They say chuck norris has only had sex with 2 women that lived, obviously his sheer power resulted in condoms being no use and 2 months down the line (none of this slow 9 month labour with chuck norris' love juice) Keith and Stinkwheel were born.

I apologize in advance for taking this down the 'school playground route'.
But: What a Grass Shocked
I have never seen such a sniveling, snitch like thread in all my years as a member of BCF.
To summarise: (read it with a nasal whiny voice in your head)
" Yeah! well, of course the big boys, that might beat me up, are allowed to do what they want .... but I thought I would just ask if we allowed to do this .... cos I have seen some others do it and wondered if it was allowed (knowing full well it isnt).
Whats that? me do anything wrong .. no not me.
Snigger, the big boys let me use numerous accounts.Well hard I am"

At this point he strolls off to pick on some weedy child, probably in a wheelchair or something.

I know you are special Ste ... and I know I dont always agree with your stance on a few things (like suicide and attention seeking etc).
But I never saw you as a grass.
note: When saying the word grass, you have to voice it like Danny 'a wrumble in me mana' Dyer. eg: 'gwraaas'

Listen up nobbers. Either we all have animated gifs or we all don't.
Just because Mr karma capped et al are allowed cos they invented bikes n such doesn't give them the right to casually animate in my direction. Razz

Addition to the above:
I do understand that this is just a forum.
I have met Ste twice and he was a lovely little shaven headed laddie.
I do realise that the forum is not real life and I am not taking it too seriously.

But in forum world he is a grass.

Mine had been the same avatar since before animated ones were disallowed.
