Today, I sat in my car awaiting my mate and his Halfrauds discount card, and a woman pulled up right in front of me and sat munching away at her fat burger. She wasn't a skinny lass, and due to her parking in my line of sight, I sat and watched her fill her face, first a burger and some chips and something else possibly chicken wings, and then a diet coke!

Anyway, as she manuevered her car out, she started glaring at me and gesturing furiously at me. I just billowed out my cheeks, and chuckled to myself. It wasn't as if I was staring, much. And if she'd parked somewhere else she wouldn't have had a skinny audience. Laughing

Why, diet coke of course!

*Yes, i do know it's not spelt like that, it just seemed appropriate.

*It was shortly after this incident that the fatty got caught fapping to porn at his desk by the (female) HR director, and was promptly given the sack. Proof, i feel, that Karma is a universal law - you take my food, you lose your job.

I was once parked, waiting in the car, at a Argos whilst the missus went and picked up enough flat packed furniture to slip Geoff Capes' discs. Some fat weeble waddled over to the car next to my passenger door, opened her door a little and then tapped on my window and asked that I move my car a bit. Both cars were in the middle of the bays.

I said no, of course. So she sat on the small brick wall behind the car, ate her sandwiches, until I left.

You do know that most fat people are fat because they have problems with their glands, don't you. I think it is something like 95% of them. The rest just eat pillows and duvets.

i dont think the percentage is that way round, but then 87% of all statistics are made up on the spot. 72.5% of people know this.

there are some people that are just 'bigger' and you can easily tell they look right like that but most definately have a 'problem' be it glandular or just greedy/addicted to food

Is it bad that the breakfast mistergixer described doesn't sound so bad? 6 bacon and sausages and 3 eggs- no problem. Bit of toast isn't really too big a deal, but I couldn't work out if you meant he had 6 bits of bread altogether or 12 Wink

Ariel is failing at BBCode. Wink.

I prefer to drink Diet Coke with a KFC or something as the KFC has nutritional value (Protein, nutrients etc) whilst a large coke is a whole load of empty calories.

Nasty metallic tasting chemical, added to all things labelled diet or sugar free...should be excluded altogether. Banned in many European countries.

But not here... Thinking very bizarre.

Aspartame - giving cancer to lab rats since the 70's..

In 1980, the FDA convened a Public Board of Inquiry (PBOI) consisting of independent advisors charged with examining the purported relationship between aspartame and brain cancer. The PBOI concluded that aspartame does not cause brain damage, but it recommended against approving aspartame at that time, citing unanswered questions about cancer in laboratory rats. A U.S. FDA task force teams investigated allegations of errors in the pre-approval research conducted by the manufacturer and found only minor discrepancies that did not affect the study outcomes.[14][15] On January 21, 1981, the day after Ronald Reagan's inauguration, Searle re-applied to the FDA for approval to use aspartame in food sweetener, and Reagan's new FDA commissioner, Arthur Hayes Hull, Jr., appointed a 5-person Scientific Commission to review the board of inquiry's decision.

It soon became clear that the panel would uphold the ban by a 3-2 decision, but Hull then installed a sixth member on the commission, and the vote became deadlocked. He then personally broke the tie in aspartame's favor. Hull later left the FDA under allegations of impropriety, served briefly as Provost at New York Medical College, and then took a position with Burston-Marsteller, the chief public relations firm for both Monsanto and GD Searle. Since that time he has never spoken publicly about aspartame. Citing data from a Japanese study that had not been available to the members of the PBOI,[16] and after seeking advice from an expert panel that found fault with statistical analyses underlying the PBOI's hesitation,[17] FDA commissioner Hayes approved aspartame for use in dry goods.[18] In 1983, the FDA further approved aspartame for use in carbonated beverages, and for use in other beverages, baked goods, and confections in 1993. In 1996, the FDA removed all restrictions from aspartame allowing it to be used in all foods.

Indeed - I'm sure I've had such breakfasts, then gone back for more! (Luckily I don't do much traveling with my new job, hotel buffet breakfasts everyday aren't that great a thing for me!)

Oh and diet drinks give you cancer? What about all these things too:
https://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=269512464297&ref=nf&v=info
(It should be noted that the same sweetners are also used in diet squash and a hell of a lot of other things, though some companies such as Sainsburys own-brand are moving to sucralose which has a less bad reputation.) It's not helped that a lot of the sites about such things are written by the tin foil hat brigade who also claim these chemicals were introduced by a zionist alient conspiracy Rolling Eyes.

Also it's of course quite possible some people might just like the Taste of Diet Coke - after all people like McDonalds in the first place! Further from that, if we're talking fast food, 410 calories less is still a decent amount.

The main problem with Aspartame is it tastes fucking horrible and they stuff it into all sorts of things. Including non-diet drinks.

It makes me bowk, has a horribly bitter taste that catches the back of your throat, I can't drink it. There is a fairly limited range of "full sugar" drinks that don't have aspartame in as well as the sugar.

Generally the higher end ones are ok like schweppes tonic and Whites lemonade, supermarket own brands are usually packed with the stuff. Full sugar fanta is a bad one too.

Even Blackthorn cider tastes like it's full of it.

Shocked How can anyone like the taste of diet-coke ???
Any of the diet drinks taste bloody awful.

And they are more acidic than the full fat ones.
So while you may indeed lose some tummy fat ... your teeth will all fall out and you will get a cancerous eye ... its not a good look.
