Soon to upgrade, need advice please.

Hello I'm a new rider.
I have had a 50cc 4 stroke moped for about 6 months now. I cant wait to get something larger. I have never been a big fan of speed but 40mph just doesnt cut it for me and something that would do something around 90-100mph would be great.
When I turn 17 in october, I would like to get standard motorcycle licence (A) so i will be restricted to something under 33bph. I have always liked the sound of a low rumbling engine much like that of a harley davidson or moto guzzi and have now set my mind on getting a cruiser. But I cant seem to find a cruiser under 33bph. I like the look of the yamaha xvs dragstar but cant seem to find one for sale anywhere in the uk.
If anyone has any advice for me and/or any bike suggestions please let me know.

Hi

On a 33hp (25kW) license you can ride anything with max power of under 25kW. Nothing to stop you buying something which makes 125kW and having it restricted to 25kW.

As I say to most people, look around this forum, there are tonnes of 'what bike next threads', write down the list of bikes you have seen listed, go onto google images, look at all the bikes. Cross off your list the ones you don't like.

Then go out to a few bike shops and look at the ones you do like, and if possible go for a test ride, (if able) if not, at least sit on the bike and get a feel for it - distance from seat to footpeg, how long the reach to handle bar is, that sort of thing...

Then make an informed decision based on what suits YOU.
