mods 1&2 on my own bike

hello, i ride an 09 yzf-r125 and want to do mods 1&2 in the summer if theres a slot ,been riding for years on and off so any advice would be taken in .my bike is pretty nippy and reaches the required speeds fairly easy,

I took my Mod 1 & 2 on my own bike, this thing:

It's a 2 stroke 125 so a bit more power than your R125.

I had no problems, I found riding that a lot easier than a CG125.

sorry to hijack this thread. but im looking to do my test on my mates 850 tdm.

do they let youy do this as long as your insured and have L plates?

also theres some info on the DSA site that says both parts need to be done on the same size and catagory bike

would this mean that if i did mod 1 on the 850 that i couldnt do mod2 on a riding schools 500...... or does that just mean, cant do one part on a big bike and the next part on a 125?

i would not advise doing your test on your mates 850. just use the schools er5 or whatever they use, will make your life easier and i bet the cost isnt much different, isnt round here anyway.

and im 99% sure whatever bike you do mod1 on, you have to do mod 2 on the exact same bike, they right down all the details of it and it goes on your paperwork, im pretty sure i remember him saying i have to do mod 2 on the same bike.

id just use the schools bike mate,

in which case just find the number for your local test centre and you can book your test direct with them for £15, just turn up and do it. and L plates depends, if you need l plates to drive your bike on the road atm, then you'll have to have them on to get to the test centre anyway

cool yeh will do that.... well i cant ride the bike there, as it wouldnt be legal. my mates gonna take it there.

yeah just double check the bikes ok etc with them, but yeah you can just book direct with no lessons.
