I tested it in the dark but I'm afraid I failed, I have a 2gb card in it and had already recorded 1.3gb and forgot to delete it, the recording on the way home filled up the card, which corrupted the going home filming. Whilest 2gb is enough to record about an hour of footage I found 30 mins of footage filled up 1.07gb the card this means if you record for an hour on a 2gb card you will only be able to see the first 30 mins, the second file will be corrupt. But you should be able to record for 50 minutes if you stop the filming.

What is this about corrupt files? Mine always hits maximum capacity because I only have a 1gb card but the videos are fine.

I'm guessing it's something to do with the genuine MD80s.

I assume it records on the fly and when it fills up can't finish the file and the PC didn't recognise it.

I read somewhere there is supposed to be a way to close the file properly so you can use it.

mine was strapped to my front fork leg near the top, so lots of vibrations.

The quality will be reduced slightly as you are cramming more picture into the frame but for £1.58 it's worth the risk.

I bought it from this guy because he was 11p cheaper

And took it for a little spin today. Checking over the footage im seeing lots of wavy lines, I mounted it on the handlebar by the brake fluid reservoir. Im editing a little vid and will stick up a link when I upload it to youtube.

Its not bad but I wouldnt really recommend it.

The wavy lines will probably be from the vibration. Probably better off doing what I did and mounting the camera to your indicator with cable ties and saving nearly £30.

Yeah, I figured vibration was causing it. Shame as they claimed that it reduced that and made filming much better.

I think cable ties and duct tape are the way to go! I need to sort out a way to mount it inside my full face helmet now.

I’ve suffered from the vibration wobbles every time I’ve mounted the camera directly on the bike. So now I just wear the camera clipped to my left hand rucksack shoulder strap. I’ve been filming my daily commute now for several months and that’s achieved two things:

1. I’ve got the placement of the camera more or less where I want it. I don’t want too much sky in the shot because the ground is then underexposed. I like it more or less central and the camera leans with me round the corners.
2. Proved how boring my commute is. Rather than great roads, amazing scenery and god-like riding, the most exciting things I tend to capture are badly driven cars… …and rain.
