Is there any way we can see the shuttle from here, like in 5 hours time or something, or like tonight in orbit?

I know its probably a pretty dumb question.

Your best bet is to wait until it has docked with the ISS, as it gives you something much bigger to look for.

Stick your location into HeavensAbove and you can find out when and where the ISS will pass over. You should be able to see the shuttle attached to it if you use binoculars on a good night.

Sad I went and made breakfast and when I came back it had launched, all I could see was a little dot in the sky.

Expect a spate of ufo sightings from our slightly dim transatlantic cousins.
