when you get post/letters that arnt things you bought off ebay?

every time i get an official looking letter i shit myself until its opened. i even get relieved and happy when its a bank statement or phonebill.

as opposed to speeding, section 59s, arrestings etc.

anyone the same?

my mail is so bad these days, what with bills and things, and no money to pay them, i dread it when postie comes to our house.

if i thought i could get away with it, i would bribe him not to deliver to our house!
our postie is a nice guy, but 99% of the time he is the bringer of doom Sad
if he comes to the door with a parcel, we all dive for cover in case it goes bang!, cos we hav`nt ordered anything off E-bay??

i know what you mean, but mostly for me its bloody credit card bills, the bloody bank sent me a letter last month and asked me to call a mobile number........so i told them i thought it was a fraudster and never called it, and they call me and then ask for security stuff to check i'm really me, so i ask them them for their mothers maiden name and date of birth and when they won't reply i put the phone down, they stopped cold calling me to change my leccy or gas or phone supplier as i told them a guy called brian came round for the money every friday and i pay him in cash, can't manage that from an indian call centre ha!

I'm exactly the same. The posty parks his van outside my house and starts at the other end so I have about 15 minutes of sitting waiting. I hate post.

I've interviewed people with debt problems at work, who literally bring a carrier bag full of unopened mail with them. Shocked

I do sometmes get a slight moment of concern if I get a letter I'm not expecting , or don't want TBH. I might get a speeding ticket in the post, I was just over the limit approaching what looked like a speed trap, and I should've been far more observant and scanned the bridge in the far distance, instead of when I got closer, but. i do the same (wait for them to speak) then i ask them to identify themselves.

I wont even confirm my name and address over the phone unless i am sure of who i am talking to.

I'm with you there. I hate getting post that looks official as it is normally some sort of bike related fine/ penalty Neutral

Well if you are lucky enough to get a case don't forget to vote guilty.

After all, they'd not be in court if they were innocent would they?

I don't even answer the door at the minute because I'm paranoid it's going to be someone after money or to nick me so I hide.
