Since a lot of people here have experience with this kinda thing i figured I would ask here first before i go to the Doc. I have this problem with my left shoulder where it gets tired quite quickly and gets really uncomfortable after a while when I am wearing my heavy leathers (also happens when i am lying on my stomach arms layed arms in front). I can only seem to remember one reason for this to happen which was a low side which I had when I first started riding in the wet.

I mean I was going very slow and accelerated out of the corner faster than I should have and the back just slid out from under me. I was wearing my leathers so apart from a scraped knee/bike and shattered ego I rode away from the scene. I really didnt seem to have any problem other then the usual bruising which came and went within a couple of weeks. But now my shoulder is getting me worried since it means I cant carry heavy loads for long periods.

So what could be wrong and why would it take so long to appear and why wouldnt it heal, i mean even if i broke it, it has been a long time since the spill.

All comments welcome

Sounds similar to how my shoulder is, the doctor told me I have a trapped nerve.

You need to go to the doctor though. If you're not happy with the diagnosis, you can always get a second opinion.

See your doctor, and probably get referred to a physio.

Shoulders are complex things and easily damaged.

Sounds like what's happening to me, but i got smacked side-on by a Renault espace (more like a brick wall than a car) in november.

I get pains in my shoulder and elbow when working, and when i'm exercising.

Go see your GP and they'll probably refer to you physiotherapy.

i hate seeing to Doc, u gotta wait for ages in a smelly room only to be told that nothing could be done, i guess a physio referal would be beneficial so I should make an appointment. Thanks for the replies

Go to the doc, they will send you for physio, and after physio if it still hurts go and see a bone doctor (chiro or osteo). Hot and cold pads should help with the discomfort, and try Ibruprofen rub for the pain for now. Thumbs Up

Just for the sake of going against the grain.

Forget the Dr, you're fine. Live with it. Thumbs Up

Right, sounds like you damaged the nerves when you crashed something i did but very serverely, if its been that way for a year then you need to have it looked at, it will involve a nerve test if i'm correct and lots of physio, mine was so bad i couldnt lift my arm at all.
Now i can use it like a normal person to a degree i just lack strength in certain applications.
