Have i just wasted my time and money??

ok new to this biking lark i just bought a loobman for my bike and fitted it the other night, now it turns out i have a DID O ring chain and a mate recons it wont need oiling as often..
i thought it would help at least with sprocket wear if nothing else??
have i wasted £20 and a hour or so of my time or not??
no centre stand so oiling manually is a pain

Your mate is talking bollocks.

O and 'X' Ring chains still need the same maintenance as ordinary chains, its just that they last longer and are generally tougher.

A loobman is a worthy upgrade, just be careful of overoiling the chain and getting lube all over your back tyre.

O/X ring chains need ample oiling too, but the loobman is a POS; my bro had one for a while but binned it as it was naff.

thanks guys, is what i thought.. loobman seems simple and easy to fit, and seems to do the job for me.. not as high tech as a scott but i prefer simple really..
