Hi All,
I've not posted for a looooooooong time but first started browsing the forum back in the nsr days. After much talking and not a lot of doing over the past few years I've finally managed to removed my finger from a certain orrifice and get my tests done, and as such I figured I should finally start getting involved!
Passed my mod 1 this morning and have mod 2 tomorrow in the Enfield rush hour! Should be a giggle. still, it cant be any worse than the mod 1 - my nerves went to pot when that gate closed!
Whilst I have your attention I would like your opinions on a wise choice for first bikes, I am looking to spend a grand-ish and was thinking Bandit6 but my instructor thinks I would be better off stretching the budget and getting the 12. He has various reasons for this but this post is long enough already!
Any and all advice is always welcome!
Ciao,
GaZ
(p.s I'm 6'2 15st if it helps, and sorry for the essay! ) |

Welcome back and good luck on your mod 2! Try and be calm as you can on your test, focus, and show them you can do it. Once your test is done go for a few test rides and see how you find different bikes. Let us know how you get on. ____________________ DAS 18/06/09 Off The Kerb Motorcycle Training. Yeah I agree with mr White, if you want to post it - post it! Cant be any worse than some of the drivel we see
To be honest I know nothing about the 6 or the 12 but for a first bike you may get sick of either pretty quick. Either way just do what you thinks best and will make you happy. Enjoying yourself is what its all about!
Best of luck with the tests! ____________________ RS125 > CBR6 > SV650S > ZX636R > GSX1300RZ Hayabusa > 06 RSVR Mille > SV1000S > Street Triple 765 RS |

Make sure you're comfortable (physically) on whatever you buy, that's the key thing. No good if your wrists/knees/back is ready to snap after 30 mins riding. ____________________ Previous: 2002 Honda CB500 (sold), 2007 Suzuki SV650SK6 (crashed), 2005 Yamaha FZ6 Fazer (sold). Currently bikeless

Bonjourno is the Hemel spelling...
I think the sensible thing to do is let the finances decide which to get! If i can find a B12 that's not screwed then I'll get it but there's no point stretching myself for a 12 and ending up buying a heap. I'd be better off getting a B6 that was in better nick.
I think Saturday was the first time I have ever been disappointed to see nice weather! So frustrating not having a bike to ride! |
