Kinda Worried...

I'm getting an RS125 derestricted with a full arrow system and this is my first bike. I've rode my friends RS50 and thought that was powerful, but I guess cos it was my first time on a bike most bikes would.

Will the bike seem to powerful for me? I'm hoping it will just take me a while to get used to the sensitivty.

It will go higher in the rev range and will seem very fast if your thought the 50 was fast, search and post etc on 125 sportsbike forum as it has a whole big RS125 section, you need to ensure you do the de-restrcition correctly.

I've not gone into details, as i can't remember correctly enough .. i was so near to getting one ... ... enjoy ..

Kickstart knows a bit about them, but his ones a bit of a nail ..so ...

After the 50 its going to feel like a rocket but fortunately its not a dangerous amount of extra power (i.e its not going to flip you/break the back ends traction/tankslapper etc.) so just enjoy riding it and when its straight and clear give it the beans and get used to it. The Rs125 is a fantastic bike and you'll love the power it has!

I guess with full throttle and a dumped clutch from standstill you could probably flip it but my point stays the same! Remembering back to my RS125 I remember the handling of the suspension and chasis far outweighed the engine. Full throttle corners were possible and I cant think of a single time the larger than required rear trye ever gave way, On the other hand I remember what its like to be new to something and on my current bike I still havent hit the throttle stop in first gear whereas many more experienced people on her would tell me not to worry.

Just be progressive, you are taking a step up but you arent jumping hugely beyond your capabiltiy. Like I said before, just enjoy it
