I recently brought a honda xr 125 im abit short on money at the moment so while i wait to get a preformance exhaust i want abit more sound i just need to know where the snorkel is so i can remove it, and also is the luggage rack removeable?

if you mean air box, it is under the seat, take the ferens off and the seat slides backwards after removing the 2 bolts

That xr will never be fast, but i'm sure loosing the 900kg exhaust for a lighter non cheese sports item won't hurt. Just make sure that what ever mods you do to it, you may need to re-jet. The xr runs stupidly lean as standard anyway so just jetting it properly will make a difference.

The rack is removable, but it looks better with it on imo. Plus it helps save the rear mudguard when you slide off it in 2 foot of sludge. (if you're going off roading on it that is.)

yehh thanks for that i only got it yesterday its just for abit of fun in summer i dont mind it being slowish but i want some sound i will buy and exhaust soon once i get some money :)

Leave the snorkel. I've known of a few people taking them off various Hondas, causing a massive flat spot around the middle of te rev range. They can be absolute bastards to refit as well.

Wait til you get the exhaust if you want to make it noisy. Make sure you hang onto the original exhaust, sprayed in WD40 inside and out to stop it rusting, so that you can refit it to sell the bike or when the noisy one starts to piss you off and give you a headache.
