What a load of bollocks
Their "king of the road special" was a supercharged B king that someone had bolted load of demon tweeks anodised crap on to, taken one of the front brake discs off and fitted a massive rear tyre.
I really dont get this streetfighter malarkey. Why take a half decent bike and spend a heap of money to make it shit at both cornering and stopping, whilst upping the power to something stupid. I get that people like custom bikes, and I like some of the bandits etc but this is just plain silly.
Anyone want this months streetfighters magazine? I'm scarred for life after seeing so much chrome, I felt like I got lost in a hall of mirrors |

I'm not a fan of tart-fighters, however I believe at some point the above magazine summed it up with something along the lines of "A streetfighter is all about attitude, whether it be in the aesthetics or the ride".
I do get annoyed by people that stick some twin headlights on a bandit, maybe some wider bars and call it a streetfighter - to my mind they should be a sports bikes adapted to be more suitable for aggressive urban riding.
Sadly, there's a lot of tarts out there in the biking community . |

Streetfighters is the only bike mag I buy.
Mainstream mags pander to the manufacturers and expertly sucker the readers with glossy pics of the latest 'must have' gear. I don't want to see endless comaprisons of standard commuter bikes or sportsbike tests ridden by people whose skill I'll never approach.
Streetfighters is about individualism. You could not possibly 'like' every bike you see in it (I read issues where I don't see a single one) since they are a product of personal tastes but you can appreciate the force that compels a person to take an angle grinder and turn a run of the mill machine into how they would have liked it to be, rather than buying off-the-shelf blue screens, rim tape and headlight covers.
Can't beat a bit of passion ____________________ a.k.a 'Geri'

its one of the few bike mags i have bought more than once,
i get a bit bored seeing hyabusa's in there as i don't think a stinky faired bike has any place in a streetfighter mag,
but all in all, not a bad mag, some shit bikes, some cool ones
but thats all just opinions... it'd be a boring world if we were all the same.
unless you were all like me, then it would be ace ____________________ the humans are dead

I absolutely adore streetfighter style bikes.
If I could, I'd have something like this:
https://mototuning.com/galerie/honda/hornet600-matrix/honda-hornet-600-matrix-img04.jpg
However, insurance dictates that I can't, as that amount of mods puts me into the £10k+ insurance range, which is utterly ridiculous. ____________________ "Four wheels move the body, two wheels move the soul."

Oh dear.
Wide bars gives you more control and a nicer position for keeping your weight back while doing wheelies.
Far bars are just a bit stronger, but in themselves don't help doing stunts really as far as I know.
Here's some stunt bikes taken from the stunt life forum, don't see any extra-high subframes.
Oh and most stunt bikes are covered in scratches and cable ties/gaffa tape - that's the sort of aesthetic modifications I like - ones that have developed from the rider pushing the limits of themselves and the bike . |
