Instead this thread is about what an awesome day today was. Coming home from work at 1pm I thought I would take the long way round because of the sun and dry roads.

Absolutely fantastic. Closest to knee down ever on this bike on the Morrison's roundabout in Crewe if anyone knows it. I had jeans on though so didn't want to dig it in.

Went to a pub for a meal with a mate then rode back being over taken by loads and loads of power rangers on gsxr's, ninjas and triumphs.

All in all a good day

Also saw a craftily parked blue transit van with a speed camera front and back. I think it was posted on here some time ago but yeh, it was on the A41 just north of Nantwich

It's been a nice day. I had about half a dozen power rangers nod at me today - obviously people who are members here

Funny how the sun makes things look so much better, even elderly commuter bikes LOL

You can tell the fair weather bikers by their leathers. They are always immaculate 98% of people out on bikes today were wearing pristine leathers But I don't think you enjoy the nice weather as much if you haven't battled through the snow, rain, ice, gales and general winter madness.

I was out yesterday with the leathers on yes they are pristine but just cos I keep my textiles for the wet and miserable days.

On another note is it wrong to wear leathers when riding a 125 with L plates ?

Naked Bandit6 for me. Haven't had it long, but I've got right back into daily riding and commuting etc.
Unfortunately no pleasure ride for me today cos I've been sleeping between night shifts.

i find power rangers quite amusing, do they realise how rediculous they look?
i ride a zx6 but wear 2 piece oldish hein gerike leathers, not saying i look good, but there are alternatives to clown suits.

Me and the brother racked up a reasonable 180 miles in the lovely sunny lakes and north yorkshire moors

and to finish of a perfect sunday...roast dinner!!

Had a brilliant ride on Saturday hooning through the lanes went to Box Hill then to a really long route to Bognor then back again. Did over 200 miles. Then today I went with my dad to Winsor through London and video'd the whole thing.

Best day of the year so far. Bikes out in force today, had a good couple of hours out, even had a pint at the pub (I don't drink anymore) just because it seemed like the right thing to do. It's not just bikers either, everywhere is packed because we haven't seen the sun for months.

BBC said we would have a roaster last year and we had about 2 days of sun and pissed it down the rest. They stopped doing annual forecasts then. Some other company, they predicted the summer of 2008 to be a corker and it was a good en, they said 2009 would be shite and they were right about that, they said this year is going to be one of our hottest...
