Hello,

Complete biking newbie, just looking for some advice on cleaning / general maintence of the Honda Shadow?

It's a 2003 - 2005 model, Just looking for basic service information, levels to check etc, aswell as Cleaning tips / products.

This isn't mine but looks very similar:
Honda VT750c Shadow

Mine doesn't have the Engine Bars / Windshield, but it has got a Back seat / rest.

Main problem is that there is rust spots building up around some of the metal work, how is best to tackle this and restore the bike to it's deserving glory?

Also what sort of value is the bike worth?

Here is two quick photos of the front wheel, first as it was when I got it, 2nd after a polish up with bit of Autosol.

Before:

After:

Thnx,

Jason.

Can't really judge the value of a bike by only seeing the picture of 1 wheel also by not knowing the mileage ETC. Autosol is good for rust and polishing your chrome, use Scotoiler FS365 or similar to protect it.

Bike has covered almost 10k miles.

No service history except the first Honda service.

MOT until Feb 2011

Starts and runs perfectly from what i've experienced.
