Not talking mates rates or being given away but to a to/from stranger where the seller is trying to get as much as possible for it.
I thought I would get more for this
https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150431461444&ssPageName=STRK:MESOX:IT
Guy who bought it seems geniune though and is coming to pick it up tonight, and TBH I just wanted rid of it. I could have sold the exhaust on it's own for triple what the bike made ____________________ Well, you know what they say. I kind of wouldn't mind selling something cheap like that if it was going to someone to fix up their bike, which they then intended to use. Problem is these days there's breakers posing as private sellers round every corner and these parasites then sell the bits they've bought for next to nowt at ridiculous rip off prices.
I once bought a pair of Honda Express peds for £5. But the guy just wanted shot of them, he wasn't holding out for big money, like seven quid or even a tenner
Aside from bikes I've given to people, the lowest I ever sold anything for was a C50 to some middle aged bloke who needed wheels for work. £35 - which is what I'd paid for it. He had it for years, don't think he ever needed to replace anything on it either ____________________ The RXS100: vehicle of choice for Chuck Norris |

Bought a car for £100. Ran it through the winter putting about 5000 miles on it as various bits broke. First most of the electrics, roof lining and door seals were letting in water making everything mouldy, handbrake stopped working, rear drums and shoes were totally fucked, drive shafts were knocking, wipers stopped working, clutch failed too. Got £60 for it in scrap, then guy even came to collect it
So long as you know how to bodge and can drive something thats fairly fucked, you could buy a shit heap, drive the length of the country and scrap it saving a fortune compared to the cost of a railway ticket! |

I think the "Do not bid!!!!!!!" makes the advert, I don't know many people with £600k sat in the bank who'd bid on a scooter via. eBay. . ____________________ "Four wheels move the body, two wheels move the soul."

I bought my first 125 for a mighty £700, or course naturally I had know idea it was a complete piece of crap. 1994 Suzuki gs125 with 33000 miles on the clock.
Hey, at least the seller was generous enough to fill the tank before i rode off, must have cost him at least £4
Sold her on for £300 a year later |

bought a really clean cb500 off ebay yesterday for 570 which thought was a bargain.
Bought my fz600 for 150 a couple of months ago,but there not expensive to buy really so probably not that great a bargain...
Best bargain was buying an slr650 for 600quid,which i then swapped for a really tidy vfr800 then sold that for 1400quid.
I think any bike you get plenty use of is a bargain regardless of what it cost...when you compare it to the running costs of a car ____________________ DRZ-400sm |
