Hi all,

i have a honda mtx 125 its all standard and everything but i was wondering how easy is it to make it sound louder (beefier maybe) but still remain legal and pass the MOT? and be done so as cheap as possible and not be an issue with my insurance

Not a whole lot other than a new exhaust, 125s really won't sound meaty though by virtue of being a 125.

Take off the downpipe, problem solved. .

Most of them aren't road legal, so they probably don't have baffles in them / or people put race exhausts on them.

Can he not put a scorpion/blueflame can on the end?
unsure of the bike in question, but ive always found the scorpion to make every bike alot deeper... maybe not louder by much but definitely more of a grumble sound

For a start they don’t make them I’m pretty sure. You can probably get a dep or similar system of some kind.
However to get a ‘rumble’, what you’re trying to do is equivelent to trying to make an F1 car sound like a tractor by changing the exhaust – not really a feasible prospect .

It's a 125. Do what I did and make brumm-brumm noises everywhere you go, kinda like that crazy frog fella.

Save your money, pass your test and then get a bike that makes a real noise.
