So, got a week free at the eng of August. More specifically able to depart Saturday 28th and return Friday 4th September.
Considering a little euro jaunt to somewhere but wondering what to see or do.
Any recommendations?
Events going on or places you'd recommend seeing?

Well, have been wanting to go back to the nurburgring for a while, and there's some racing going on around then.
FIA GT1 championship through the week then a world superbike round. That would be lovely.

the run to nurburg is about 350 miles. like most distances it can be done in 2 ways
1-motorway the entire thing in a day which is pretty boring and can rape tyres.
2- try to stay off the motorway as much as possible (using it to bypass cities) and go through beautifal towns and country. maybe splitting it over 2 days as it takes a hell of a lot longer and is very tiring.

did it the 2nd way last year on the way there and it was amazing. saw some awesome places we'd otherwise have missed on the motorway.
for example

that was about 70 miles from nurburg and the following 30-50 miles were all like that.
