Hi, Im wondering if anyone out there has any tips or advice on cleaning a 2nd hand jacket I have just bought my wife. It stinks to high hell of body odour under the arm pits and i have tried all sorts to get rid of the smell but no joy!!
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

leave it outside overnight inside out, maybe for a week or so if need be

there is something in outside air that removes smells, I dont know what it is, but it work

Don't laugh, freeze it, it will kill all the bacteria that make the smell. Either that or take it to a dry cleaners will probably set you back about £15 but will come out smelling lovely.

Anti-septic wipes ( chemist or supermarket ) whack a couple of those round the arm pits and down the arms, Fabreeze the fuck out of it then hang it outside to dry and air out...

If it's leather, get her to wear it after the above and rub boot polish into it and buff with a cloth*, might be an idea to wax dub the seams as well... Thumbs Up

*That's if it's all black by the way...

most bacteria will live far below the temps of a freezer, and if they do get frozen, they reappear when thawed.

Best off wiping and fabreezing, maybe dettol spray? or even the shoe cleaning stuff for smelly feet?
