33bhp choices...

Will be selling the DTR soon and will be looking for a 4-stroke equivalent... hopefully something a bit nippier. I'm really stuck with what to go for though because of the silly 33bhp restriction. I was thinking about disregarding the limitations of my license as I'm sure many people do, but I'm not really after a quick bike - just something a bit quicker and more fuel efficient. Budget will probably be 2 grand max after selling the DTR.

Any ideas, lads and lasses?

You could try the usual 500cc bikes, GS500/CB500/ER5

All are quite good, you might notice the fact they are quicker on acceleration.

Or you could go down the 600 route,that way after your probation...you get a lot more of a bike ~100hp.
Usual 600s are like CBR600F, Bandit, Hornet, ZZR600..

Have a look, think of insurance as well as price of the bike... sometimes you can get hit hard.

33bhp, want something pretty with a little nip and some fuel efficency?

I know it dosent sound like the bigger bikes but have you considered an un-restricted NSR125?

Put a pair of SM tyres on it and you're golden, but to be honest the knobblies on it make it more fun for the road.

It has to be enduor or supermoto unfortunatly Mainly because I need to get it in the house (I live in a bad area) and I prefer the hooligan look Definitely leaning towards a supermoto this time around as I've pretty much never had the DTR off-road (apart from a field or two).

Going to have to sell the DTR before I start looking. Nothing worse than finding the perfect bike and not having the money for it in the bank.

I had a DRZ restricted to 33bhp, although its only 6bhp over so i wouldnt worry about it. Great bikes, just be careful of them suddenly burning oil

Nice How much did you pay for it? Reckon I'll get a decent one for £2K? After a quick check on ebay it seems everyones after the SM ones, same as with the DTRs really, everyone wants the DTXs and so they always sell for more.
