Is it as good as Torque or Biker Boyz?

I'd say it is on par with Biker Boyz really. It's missing the motorbike duelling scenes to be considered a contender for Torque.

I'd say so..
I started watching it on five US, got to episode 8 and then missed two so borrowed the series 1 and 2 DVD's off my mate,
Finished watching them a few weeks back.
I really enjoyed it, great story line IMO, I think it draws you in and you can really feel the highs and the lows which can't be said for a lot of programmes.
This and 'The Wire' (Series one and two are all I really watched)
are some of the only TV programmes I've bothered to follow in recent times, don't like the box in general. Thumbs Down

Mac_kaliber

+ Thumbs Up for the wire.

great tv and one i always rushed home for.

and the sons roped me in from the first show.
Not as Blood and guts as i expected, but the quality of the acting roles,
particularly the women, drew out a lot more emotion and showed more input into the biker lifestyle then i first imagined.

Still find it hard to take jax too seriously as a bad ass, but all the others make the grade.

I think Jax can be a bit too baby-faced to be bad ass at times xD

Apparently they're killing off Gemma!

Nooo - can't kill off Gemma, she's a badass!
I'm going to have to stop reading this thread until I'm up to date with both series - don't want any spoilers.

Hmm there seems to be a divide over Mr Jax Teller's character, but that's not surprising as it is one of many sides..
I can actually relate with him quite well, I like his character,
Certainly interesting and there's good in there underneath all the ugly stuff he gets into..
It's a reflection on some of the ways that people get into things where there isn't any easy solution or way out..
Apart from that he can be a little bit cocksure at times but like I said an entertaining and important character, he brings balance to the set.

Bugger...fixed. Actually it's a bit ironic, as I usually get accused of looking like a rambler at some rallies I go to... Laughing
