I think you should get road bikes for riding on the roads and mountain bikes for riding off the roads.
I can't decide if that's a road bike with sloppy geometry or a flimsy mountain bike. I'm not sure if it can either.
It looks to be geared WAY, WAY too low for normal road use. Highest gearing you're going to get on that is 48/14. My road bike goes up to 52/11 and I'll spin that out going downhill. Im running 46/15 on my single speed bike and it is very rarely I have to get off and push that.
I can pretty much garauntee you won't use 80% of the gearing available on that bike on the road. I'd go so far as to say, you'd never use the smaller two chainrings so you'd be spending a load of money on expensive gearing you'll never use.
Hell, 28/34! Thats 22 gear inches. You'd need to spin out just to keep up enough speed to stay upright.
Also, no engine. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. That's when you find out everything you want to know.”
I did the 2010 Round Britain Rally on my 350 Bullet. 89 landmarks, 3 months, 9,500 miles. |
