Honda recommend 42 psi rear and 36 psi front for my 01 CBR6F.

I always set my pressures to this as I have no real reason to do differently but it does seem very high and I assume it is suggested for use with the tyres recommended by honda also. Given that the tyres they recommend are shit, can the same be said for thier specified tyre pressures?

What do you all run for street use? Manufacturers or a diff pressure?

I go by what the tyres say, then knock a few psi off it, if it says 42 I put in 40...

I run the hornet at 42(r) 36(f)

If it is even slightly out i can start to feel it, seems right at that, so just stick with it. Thumbs Up

Err, tyres normally say a max pressure rather than anything to do with a useful pressure on the random bike they are fitted to.

Bridgestone say 29F 36R

Manual says 24F 32R (36 with pillion)

I put 24F when solo (26 with pillion)
33R (36 with pillion)

In winter i drop these by 1psi.

S'all abit guesswork for me.

Just the way I've always done it tbh Keith, it's nine times out of ten loaded up or got someone on the back so I can't be arsed putting air in to carry then take it out when I'm on my oneses and vice versa...

I probably should have mentioned that in my original post...

I put 1 psi over in the winter, to compensate for the really cold mornings etc (i do it in the garage see) .

Michelin say 42 rear and 36 front (Pilot Power's).

I always put 44 and 38 in them respectively, I prefer my tyres a bit firmer (no jokes please, Razz).

I usually go with what the manufacturer says

36-42 in the TDM

36-38 in the 4
