My bike it the Piaggio zip 50cc 2stroke 2003 model. On the side of the bike under the word ZIP it says catalysed.

I am able to take my CBT in June and i am wanting my ped to go faster as all my friends bikes go 50-55mph. My Zip is already de-restricted but i want it to go faster, it currently does around 40-45mph.

I have heard that the Leo Vince TT exhaust would be best however i cant find any information stating whether it will fit onto a Piaggio Zip.

Can anyone tell me what i can do to make my moped faster, and if possible list the product names.

Many thanks in advance.

i had one derestricted and that was the fastest I got out of it.

You can tune them up but then I would save the money and get a 125. Its a complete waste by the time its tuned for 55mph!

Its all about speed mate in our world.

A bit off topic but not being rude or anything but staying safe than being a twat is the idea of progressing with bikes.

Too many times I have seen people I know getting hurt and one twat I knew died on a motorcycle right outside my house.

stay safe and buy a 125 it will be worth it

it means it has a catalyst, its there to make the emissions lower. Just like you see on cars. Are you sure its a 2 stroke? A 2 stroke with a cat (ie cat for catalyst for short) i assume would kill it.

By the way my Zip was a 4 stroke (08 reg) but you could still de restrict it and fuel economy went up Very Happy

I'm no expert but don't 2 strokes need regular oil top ups with good quality oil?

If i'm right you should know because of when you change the oil and how often you top it up.

yes a 2 stroke engine sounds very different to 4 stroke and as said above you should have an oil filler cap next to where you fill up with petrol
