I'm having issues with a g5 imac... it wont recognise the hd.
Its getting power, and if i remove it completely and replace it recognises it.........until it shuts down and reboots, then it just doesn't know its there?

Any one had this? Faulty cables? Where do i get such specific things?

Nope, never taken applecare

Actually this is the first real problem i've had with one for 4 years, bought off of ebay.... i've located the problem i think, sure its the data cable between hd and logic board, hd's fine.
