right, i have ripped my house apart for 3 hours, and my garage for the best part of an hour and a half, the only key to my bike is gone, nice.

what do i do now? i have the part number to order a whole new barrel, fuel cap, boot lock, and keys from honda

is it possible to change the ignition barrel without the original key? i didnt lock the steering which probly helps

as for the fuel cap, i know you cant change that without it being open, as the fuel cap locks onto something inside the tank as i found out when i tried to get the bros one off when the lock froze solid, so how the hell am i gonna get that open ever again without the key?

i managed a whole year with only one key for the bros and never has it been lost, why is this one?

As far as the fuel cap goes, can't you unbolt the entire thing and take it out - the six or so bolts round the outside must serve some purpose?

yes they do, for when the thing is unlocked, the fuel cap itself, when you lock it, hooks onto a part of the tank, so even when you undo all those bolts its still being held on my this little thing, that you need the key to unhook

clever design eh Evil or Very Mad

Bad news......

...what were you wearing when you last had the key, or last rode the bike, or moved it, or even went to do something to it?

I normally find these things just "popped in a pocket"......

(or in the keyhole for the seat....but that is on my bike)....

Stay calm....good luck.

There is a chance that the key number is stamped on the ignition barrell. So take it off. If it's bolted onto the top yoke (do you have a top yoke?), then it'll probably easier to remove that instead.

Give the number to your local key place, and they should be able to make a set up for you. If you don't know where a local key place is, then check out: https://www.motorcycle-keys.co.uk

Hi

See if you can unbolt one of the locks, probably the seat lock or the ignition lock. If you are lucky then it will have a code number on it so you can just go into a bike shop and order a key, but if not if you go to a good locksmith they might well be able to cut you a key from the lock.

All the best

Keith

Hush. Razz

How are you meant to replace them if you can't get the old locks out? Such as the petrol cap lock.

I maintain that the key is inside the fairing, in the lining of whatever you were wearing or in the posession of the gosling.
