I have a standard 2006 Peugeot XP6 SM.

I say standard but i have recently fitted a Tecnigas Enox exhaust. I havnt took the little washer thing out so i think that means its still restricted (its only doing about 30).

Do i need to put a bigger main jet in my carb? The standard jet in my carb is .78 i think so do you reccomend that i get a bigger size? If so, how much bigger?

The reason im asking is that ive heard it may be running too lean...

Any help appreciated

Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

I know have another topic going at the minute but this didnt seem relevant to include in it...

Thanks Wink

from what i have found out through asking people on hear myself putting a bigger jet in is not needed. i personally would just de-restrict the exhaust and put a race variator on it...

We have already discussed this,
your going to need to rejet to make it run how it should, otherwise why buy a performance exhaust?
You sure a performance exhaust is restricted as well?

Put a race variator onto a geared bike, i suspect that would work really good, theres no getting around it, if your using a higher performance part, its going to use more fuel to do this the jet needs to be bigger, or the needle moved.

If the restricting washer is in you will not have to rejet it. If you take the restricting washer out go up by 4 jet sizes and do a plug chop to see how it is running.

I was under the impression anyone who buys a performance exhaust dosnt leave the washer in, as its then giving you little to no gain =/?

Yeah, he should take it out as there is no point having a performance exhaust without any performance. Very Happy While it's still restricted though no re-jetting is required.

Thats what my dad said.. Smile

Ive only still got the washer in because i didnt know what it would be like without it... Plus id never ridden with the standard exhaust on; the lad i bought it off messed the standard exhaust up, so i needed a new one and didnt fancy paying the quoted £500 for the plain black standard one from Pug..

Thanks for the info Very Happy Thumbs Up

Without it it would just be faster. You would get better acceleration as the exhaust gases could escape faster.
