Does anyone else have trouble with the zips on their gear?

I've knackered two jackets' zips now, and I don't know quite how. I'm a bit lardy granted, but the jackets aren't small for me - I can still fit hoodies under them..

With both jackets I've found the bottom of the zips (just above the little metal tags) don't join together properly, and when I get moving the jackets pop open.

Is there anything to be done about this, apart from having them repaired professionally? (if this is the only option, where can I go for it?!)
