hi all,
i havnt been using the rs for a while, but when i last used it, im sure it was fine.
took it out for a short journey today & i noticed a strange noise, when i pulled up at some lights.
it only seems to happen when in gear.
when i pull the clutch in, i can hear what i can only describe as a "chattering".
its more noticeable around 3-5000rpm when the revs are dropping.
my first thought was the chain (ie. too slack) but that seems ok.
it actually sounds like the pv blade is going in & out rapidly. (like when doing the self clean)
anyone any ideas?
cheers,
GAZ

have you checked all nuts and bolts? 3-5000 rpm is when most objects resonate enough to hear them. im guessing that there is no vibration accompaning the noise?

Like stated, something loose that you've undone during maintainance and forgot? If it is the RAVE valve do they have adjusting cables etc like an EXUP system? Even when stood they tend to seize up or the cables get slacker.
