Xena seem to be the main players in that market. I had one albeit an older one and the batteries had run out so I had no means of testing it. Felt solid enough though.

That was quite a shit review, wasn't it? Laughing

Got a Xena on too... It seems to be pretty good however the batteries don't really seem to last that long. And in the wet mine used to go randomly.

Also putting your hand over the 'speaker' (the vents in the metal to all the sound to escape) makes it much quieter....

I got a cheap-ass one last time Aldi were doing them. It seems good. They're all going to be much of a muchness really.

Just get one that can't be opened by a biro and it'll be all good.

The bigy ellow oxford one. I've had mine for years on the original batteries sat outside in the pissing rain, snow, ice etc.. still works Cool loud as well. They give you a coily "reminder" thing with it but you wont need it if you have any common sense whatsoever and plainly due to the fact that there's a big heavy bright yellow bloody lock on your wheel.

I've had 3 Xena disclocks now, and now refuse to sell them.

They are ok in the summer (albeit the external speaker)

Second the temp gets cold, or they get wet, they go off randomly, beep continuously, never turn off even when unlocked.

Generally piece of crap product.

As far as a NON alarmed disc lock goes, pretty good.

Using an oxford screamer now, but much the same.

I've had a Xena for years and its good. You just need to keep on top of changing the batteries when it starts to go off randomly. I bought a bulk load of LR44 batteries from somewhere on the web and change them when I need to.

Its solidly built and fits on my Xena chain that goes with it.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.
