i need to get some new kit as my boots look a little worse for wear and my leathers are too small for me (growing up!) can anyone share some good places to get motorbike kit?

i have about a £500 budget for boots, (summer) gloves and a two piece suit.

links to specific pieces of kit that are recommended would be great and if there's a general gear thread then direct me to it and ill delete this. ta Thumbs Up

Hein Gericke.
And other motorcycle places that sell kit, and eBay, or maybe gumtree.com.

What size are you Rufus? I only ask as I may be selling my Dainese Laguna Seca leather bottoms. But it all dependant on if the other pair of bottoms I have my eye on fit me better Confused .

The Laguna Seca bottoms are part of a black 2pc suit & are only a week old & have only been worn once, so are brand spanking new, size 38 UK or 48 EURO, & look like this:

For summer gloves, I'd recommend Alpinestars SP-1's

I've used them daily for three summers worth of riding, and would happily replace them with another pair when the time comes.
My boots are currently Sidi Vertigos for dry weather, and Sidi Black Rain for wet weather and commuting. My vote for leather trousers would be my Richa Street Trousers

---------------

found a few different boots on ebay but i dont want to spend more than 100 ideally unless there's a pair that are worth spending more (i.e. the pink and white corsas!)

thoughts on these?

I wear Alpinestars Supertech R boots, which are the successor for the ones in your link (I think) and there fantastic. Very supportive, very comfy, you feel like your wearing slippers when there on. They have a comfy boot inside them, that comes out so you can stick it in the wash and keep them smelling nice. I can't say anything bad about them, they weren't cheap, but they were worth every penny! If you can find a set of Supertech R's, Id definetly reccomend them. If those SMXR's have a boot inside them, they are very comfy!

They'll be the right size for you then Rufus. I'm a 30" waist & I can get in them comfortably. The whole suit is a UK 38.

i think they may be slightly too snug then. my current trousers are a 30 and they put a bit too much pressure on my waist. thanks anyway though Thumbs Up

had a look at the supertech R's but they'd destroy over half of my budget so i looked up SMXR reviews and they're really good apparently and i managed to find a pair for £80 so went for them Very Happy

Whoops! Sorry, just re-read your post!

You could always try their Rift Lthr jacket and jean.

Either way, best of luck in your search.
