Hi

While the ad is pretty laughable, there is a CBR150 which is quite a bit quicker than the 125. Not only does it have a larger capacity but it also has a 4 valve cylinder head.

All the best

Keith

well i didnt call, but i wrote this text message to him

Quote:
Hello. This is a warning, your advert on ebay for the cbr is extremely stupid. You have blatantly admitted breaking the law; registering a 150cc bike as a 125cc (forget the fact it has 150 written on the side in plain view).

Not only that, you have put the full reg plate up there so if I pass your details and the ad onto the police they will find your address instantly.

Lastly - your spelling is just awful, it takes 2 seconds to use a spellchecker on a computer and by saying "this bike is FULLY stranded (meant to be standard) with scorpion race pipe" is just a contradiction in itself. Good luck with the sale, you're gonna need it.

*waits for reply* Very Happy

You know...

You sound a wee bit like you might have a penchant for hi-viz workwear and an unhealthy interest in health & safety.

This is a warning; people might think you were a bit of a jobsworth. (I can text you that if you give me your number.)

Even If this bike was 100% legit and everything he said was correct I still wouldn't buy it. The spelling would put me off enough to think fuck that.

Thing is though they do that but people who are searching for an R1 or a GSXR are not going to want a fucking CBR125. So it's pointless.

It IS a CBR150 according to the ad. The mirrors are on the fairing same as the 150. The logbook just says 125. He's encouraging kids to tell the insurance its a 125 (technically voiding it and riding without a licence).

If they get copped they could be in for some crap. I've seen CBR150s on sale over here before. I don't think they sell too well because you can't ride em on a CBT, and anyone with a full licence will usually want a bigger and more powerful bike.

Exactly, and they are rather more than a CBR125 (although nowhere near 28hp and 110mph, from memory about 20hp), hence the advert isn't quite a ludicrous as it first appears.

All the best
