...stopping myself from bidding on my mate's Juno G by noodling with the repetitive late 70's synth masterpiece, "Cars" by Gary Numan, with a simple GM software synth and a bit of reverb. Just wish I was a better drummer.

Also did "Are Friends Electric", but that's even more repetitive Smile

I live in a terraced house with paper thin walls, and there's so much background noise it's not worth me trying.

Usually all the synth work is done in my mate's studio, but he's just auditioned for a band so will be busy with them for a while. I just wondered how my creaky laptop would fare against his rack of 80's synths. I'll be adding the vocals there later.

I could only find the "rattle" of the tambourine, I wanted the "bang" in there too. At least it was better than the handclap sound, which was so weak I ended up using a 3 layered gunshot instead Smile

I do have a pile of them, but GM is a lot easier to repatch when I stick it on the studio PC. My mate has so much kit he ends up spending an evening going through literally thousands of presets just looking for the right sound, whereas I'd rather just pick one out of 128 and maybe layer it or pop an effect on it.

You'll have to do the duvet in a cupboard trick for the vox. I quite like hearing faint stuff in backgrounds...(normally dog tags or birdsong in mine...occasional hoover noise Rolling Eyes )

Keep on keeping on

Today, I have successfully wasted time so that is now 3pm.

Although I think I have reached the point where I can safely say I can't watch any more make-over shows on tv. I'm full. I've had enough. Any more of this and I think I will die of boredom.

Today I have mostly been being a bitch to my ex Twisted Evil

I spent years being nice to him, even when we were split up in the past (on many other occasions) ... cos he was such a fucking mess. Now he's sober (or not, I'm pretending I don't know/care any more), I'll be a bitch to him til it suits me to be nice to him again.

Won't last long ... I usually end up being nice fairly soon.
So I might as well enjoy it while it lasts, make it worth my while.
I'm usually too damn nice in general, anyway.

I forgot how to be a bitch Sad
But its good to know that its like riding a bicycle really Laughing
