I mean perhaps he didn't see the wheels come off, and thought he had one or both still attached.

Obviously he would have noticed something going fubar, but he might not have known his wheels came off.

That looks fake to me, the way the front right wheel behaves just looks wrong, especially as a car with no front wheels wouldn't instantly decellerate, allowing the front right wheel to accellerate away from it.
