suzuki 2010 catalogue???

does anyone know when the new accessories and parts cat for 2010 will be out?? i had a call off suzuki last friday saying it was coming out on monday just been for interenet version
but when you go onto the website still not there, just 2009 available

Any ideas anyone? i still have no accessories for the new gsf 650 sa k9, had it 6 months and still not able to get pannier racks...anyideas on that too??

I've been wondering the same thing myself as I like to have a browse of the latest bits.

However, as Suzuki fit Givi and Kappa luggage as OEM you might find an on-line search gives you an idea of what you need.

According to Motorbikes and parts the luggage rack you require (and will probably be sold by Suzuki) is the Givi PLXR541 rack and either the Givi V35 side cases and top box, or the the Kappa (now owned by Givi) K33N panniers and suitable topbox.

yeah, i have been looking at all of them, i was mainly interested in the sw motech, i noticed the givi doing the plxr serious similar to sw motech with the quicklock, but givi havnt really released it properly yet, the image they prove with mounting instructions is incorrect to the bike (shows different shape bike) with exhaust on wrong side,lol
i already have the oem topbox rack fitted and there was the sw motech that would fit around this beacuse it has different mounting points to the oem topbox otherwise nothing else would really fit
suzuki dont even have the topbox rack for the sa k9 yet either, mine had to be modded to fit...so far so good so suzuki and this bike has been out for almost a year and they dont even have anything out yet, typical lol

any ideas of some sepcific makes n models of panniers that would fit around the oem topbox rack? prefered quicklock type system as i wouldnt be using it everyday etc

You could try Hepco & Becker a mate of mine bought some of their racks for his XT660 nice quick release racks, but he bought square aluminium panniers from some independent German mfg.

I notice on the Motorbikes and parts website that they reckon you may need to move the indicators to accomodate certain panniers, you might need to check this before you buy.

i have just had another look at the plxr rack and looks very easy to mount, but i still might have that problem with were they mount to the rear pillion footrests which is were the topbox rack is mounted to, otherwise i would probs go for that seen as knowone else has designed one yet. although i dont know if suzuki will be releasing one aswel??who knows?lol

I bought the set (top box and side panniers) for the 650 SA K9. Shop didn't tell me that kit didn't fit until after it had arrived. They carried out an official suzuki mod to the top box mounting kit which is a good fix but I haven't got a clue how to mount the side pannier kits nothing seems to fit! I'm taking it back to the dealer for him to sort out!

read this, i have had problems after a suzuki dealership modified the rack and suzuki will not refund it!

Dealership, Bill Smiths in Bangor, North Wales. I think we bumped into each other outside the shop last week. Top Box seems a good mod. I think they must have learn't their lesson from you, but how did you get on with mounting the side pannier kit? This doesn't seem to fit?

i think i remember, was you talking to paul about tyres and how you had worn then through so quickly?
i didnt get the pannier rack for mine and as far as i know after seeing mounting instructions it should make much difference if were they have modified, they should just bold directly onto the rack shouldn't it? at 3 different points, one near the footrest, the other further along and the final one were you gewt provided spacers and its bolted were the grabrail used to be?as far as i know the pannier rack shoudl still fit.
you wont be able to get refund on the rack though, i complained after i got my rack (which took 2 months, then bill smills said i wasnt doing it right to fit it) and ever since they had moded it i have asked for a refund (it was rusting were they moded it), that went on for almost 2 months and then suzuki decided they didnt want anything to do with it and it was down to bill smiths, they have min atm to fix the rust then im selling it on

when did you buy the bike btw?bill smiths knew it wouldnt fit january onwards

i have a knew topbox fitted to mine now.....much better and cheaper by givi!!

Maybe they are not selling it online yet, maybe they are selling it in their main shops or maybe it is already sold out.

suzuki don't do anything for the k9 yet, i know!lol
but go onto www.motorbikesandparts.co.uk and search for the 650, givi do topbox rack, ive fitted it and it look s sooo much better, and they do a quick release panier set that you can add onto later

or im selling the suzuki topbox rack that suzuki dealership moded to fit if your interrsted?

After trying to get the panniers on (and dropping the dammmm thing and damaging the mirrors) I get the distinct impression that Suzuki had no intention of riders fitting topboxes and panniers. Talked to Bill Smiths today and they said that they are going to speak to Suzuki tomorrow ref the Pannier mounts. The pannier mounts have 2 probs, first is the indicator lights are wired for life units so you can't take the wires off and there isn't enough slack to the bulb housing to feed them through the fairing to the higher location (Andy, you might get this problem with compatables). Second the bracing bar is supposed to go under the reflector and above the number plate between the left and right pannier mounts. The only way of actually getting them to fit is to pass it under the mudguard which although its out of the way of the wheel, isn't a good solution. Not impressed! Fair do's to Bill Smiths they have promised a solution no matter what. Although if Suzuki come back with tough luck, as I bought the bike for touring and on the understanding that I would be able to fit top box and panniers, after 2000 miles plus, I wonder where my rights lie????? Andy, the job that Bill Smiths did on my mod for the top box did look decent, after seeing yours the jury is out but hopefully they learnt from yours

givi have a new kit for the panniers and top box for the GSF 650 SA K9. Bill Smiths have ordered these as a replacement and are fitting on Tuesday to fair do's to them. This should equal one satisfied customer.

you are kidding right? i told them i wanted the givi rack etc instead and they didnt even offer to replace with the givi racks....i bet they give me your suzuki topbox rack instead of fixing mine
so far im down £130 on the suzuki rack and ive paid for the givi topbox rack myself!grrrrr

Calm down. You are more likely to get a resolution by seeing what they do for me. They have promised the GIVI mounts but are hoping to use the same boxes. Watch this post tomorrow night and I'll fill you in on what happened. Your more likely to be successful when you have a comparison (i.e. me). I don't know the background of your complaint only that you had the same problem. I told them at the outset when I bought the bandit SA K9 that I wanted the bike for touring and it had to be able to take the full pannier/topbox set. So if the bandit couldn't take them it would be as much use as a chocolate fireguard to me. So hang fire and see what happens.

lol, im calm, im just going to go in in the morning to discuss it with them
the problemi had was that within 1 month were they had welded it had rusted lots, i did say to them i wanted to get the givi rack instead and thats why i wanted the refund

as from the boxes you have they should fit to the new givi rack

the givi topboc rack it great by the way, already have mine fitted, just hope that bill smiths will sort me out with the pannier rack next

how you finding the new bandit btw?ive had a few problems already

Really like the bandit. no problems so far. Off to the Welsh Rally next weekend if they get the set fitted in time then I'n taking her to Austria next month. What problems have you had?

the problems ive had have been the front brakes coming on while riding and errors with the ignition, so far for now they have been sorted

Got the bike back from Bill Smiths, They's used the Suzuki kit after all. once it was mounted it look ok. The brace goes under the mudguard but it looks OK. They had to extend the indicator wiring by the look, that also appears ok. I'll keep an eye on how things go and post here if there's any probs. How did your attempts go with them?

as soon as i waled in andy saw me and was apolagetic straight away and was offering me credit note for a service, i said to him i wanted the pannier rack from givi and that id pay the difference, so we he said for me to go back in in the morning and see if we can sort something out
so u have stayed with the suzuki setup then in the end?
