Its good to see Gordon Brown adopting popular internet meme's like the Facepalm:

https://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/media/images/47738000/jpg/_47738075_brown_head_bbc.jpg

Apparently he referred to a labour voter as a bigotted old woman. I'd say that was a fail.

This whole deal is utterly hilarious. Yes the woman was pretty solidly pissed off and wasn't having any of Browns replys, but still, the fact that he felt that way is pretty shameful given that it's a view shared by a pretty substantial amount of the population.

Whilst I'm certainly not a fan of him in the first place, I'd say that's pretty much the end of his career on the front bench.

We all talk about people behind their backs, if someone put a microphone on me , they'd hear much worse.

But then I'm not the prime minister, who had just met someone who was going to vote for him. Who then left his microphone on, that recorded him calling her a bigot.

Any links to the actual interview?

Couldn't give a toss about Brown, another pretty pointless headline wasting space.

Well you can't exactly be truthful can you?

Rochdale - i.e. the only way to improve the place would be to go door to door with a flame thrower, that is hardly going to get you much support is it?

He could have just not mentioned it.

Two things I loved in the original interview was when Gillian said 'All these Easterns Europeans coming in. Where are they flocking from?' and when Gordy claimed he was helping to keep crime down as, I quote 'I just told those guys over there if you commit a crime you're going to be punished'.

To be fair she was a real cunt.

Though being a lifelong Labour supporter is akin to being a cunt.

Have you seen the propaganda machine of Labour? They are claiming that she is a tory stooge and an employee of the sun newspaper.

What cretins

Can't see how any of that supports your initial statement.

Your misinformation is worse than the politicians.

Backed up by nothing and possibly made up by me: I heard she is actually Nick Cleggs aunt.

That this happened at all is no surprise, no one really thinks politicians don't think we're all stupid and unwashed. The only thing more irritating is the 'heart-felt' apology that was offered.

Why bother, I'd think higher of him if he said; 'well the old cow just was!' rather than offering an disingenuous wining apology that no one believe you mean.

Would've added some tang if he'd twatted the sky sound man for recording it...

What are you talking about? Your links, and they're about as official looking as a post dug up from the bowels of visordown, don't bear any relation to your comment?

Aye that's a fair point but the problem is the 'Nation' are spell bound by this debate shite that has shat on our tv screens recently.
Having to watch three lying bastarts spouting lies, lies and more lies for 30 mins just rips ma nittin' oot.
Cameron. Buffoon.
Cleggy is a disgrace. Came from Where? to run/ruin this country's government. The Blair style is old news. I can't believe people still fall for his side show tricks.
Naming strangers in the audience.... Like a prostitute saying she loves you just to get that $50 note out of your pocket.

Instead of apologising, he should have just said 'well she is with that attitude'. And stand by it.

I have actually been at someone's house, whilst they had gone upstairs and overheard them slate myself and other guests sat in the lounge next to the baby monitor.

When they came downstairs, and I pointed to the monitor, their faces were priceless!!! Ha ha ha. Needless to say, we all left soon after. Laughing

In any case, the debates have maybe generated a bit of interest. The thing is, people now expect lies and subterfuge, its more to do with what they aren't saying in this election.

Theres a huge elephant in the room regarding the economy and the so called saving they're claiming to be able to make.

As I've said, there is another option if you live in Scotland or Wales and that is to vote SNP or PC. I think Alex Salmond is a buffoon and I have no strong leanings towards independance, but Labour absolutely rely on Scotland for votes, A Tory Government would be despised north of the border and the libdems would be ambivalent about it.

A vote for those parties (since they're the biggest in their respect countries) would be a far more effective protest vote than voting for the pirate party etc and since its a UK election even if they got 100% of the seats in Scotland and Wales, it wouldn't make much of a difference in terms of power in the UK Parliament, may be a bit more negotiation but thats about all.

Of the three leaders and the debates, if you had to who would you pick. I'd go with Clegg as the lesser of three evils, sort of what you don't know can't hurt you... Yet...

Or something.

Thumbs Up

Or was it a case of Mummy and Daddy did very well under the Tories thank you very much?? Wink

I think there is no harm in change.

It is the stupid argument for Change just for the sake of it.
No real sensible reason just. 'We're fed up let's have a change.'

And how do you think Labour got in in the first place. Because we were all so sick of Tory leadership, we just wanted change!! Rolling Eyes

We're just going round in circles and getting nowhere slowly.
