I am currently recovering from a broken wrist, I had a screw put in my scaphoid 5 weeks ago and had my cast taken off on tuesday. I currently have minimal movement, but im hoping in the next few weeks i'll start seeing some progress.
anyway, the doc said I wouldn't be able to ride a bike for another 3 months. I sold my bike a few weeks ago, but I want to buy another one for when Im fixed!
last summer I was planning a trip to France, but it fell through. I was thinking of getting the ferry from Hull-Rotterdam and riding to the alps, then across to Bilboa and ferry back. I'd probably plan two weeks for trip but its early days.
I had an 2003 R6, but its gone now and with my wrist not being great I thought of getting a sports tourer, TT600 or CBR600f, but im not sure. Im on a restricted licence untill october, but I want to do the trip before then.
I know I could tour on any bike, but which? Am I best waiting till I know the state of my wrist? |

fuck your doctor. i had the same injury, albeit with a bone graft from my hip too as well as the screw.
i got discharged.
''so how are you getting home?''
''ill sort something out''
got on bike and rode home.
also, with my broken finger from the r6 crash i was told not to move it until it had set, and that i would get about 80-90% movement back.
i used it as normal as it was pinned in place, and ive got 100% movement back.
they're great at patching you up and stuff, but well over cautious when it comes to recovery. ____________________ Blue_SV650S wrote: it was a sh1te wheelie, but it proves that he can get it up in 3rd and can do angles. In summery, mattsprattuk is a gobby little sh1tebag, dopehead tw4t, but sadly for all of us, he probably isn't THAT full of sh1te!!
