It was a KTM 250 4T, later in its life became a 525 and then replaced by a 250 2T. But really the slow bits he was able to keep up, just a bit more revving a clutch slipping, had the work the engine more than a bigger bike but he never found it too much effort.

As I’ve said before – I’ve taken the CRM greenlaning with Korn and Luke who were on an XR250 and RMX respectively.
I could keep up, but it was a hell of a lot of work to do so (the pace was fairly reasonable at points).

The WR won’t need near this much work, but will be a bit more. However of course, will be a bit easier to work closer to 100% than bigger bike – better get yourself to enduroland .

As G said, it has much more outright power than the XR250, but is totally 'robbed' from the bottom ... 250ccs of boom can only be tuned to do one or the other I am afraid

You will certainly have to get used to dancing on the gear lever!! ... sadly there have been many occasions where I have lost all forward momentum and due to the gearing and lack of power, when I open the throttle, the bike has either just simply stalled or I have had to slip the clutch and try and get drive that way - which is far from ideal and at times hard to control (feeding in power from a revvy engine is not as smooth/timely as using torque from a more punchy motor) ...

I have to say though my WR (and presumably your Husky) is an incredibly agile and confidence inspiring bike - you just need to be Sammy Davis jr to ride it!!

Basically go below what 10mph and you are proper fecked ... get above what 20 and it comes into its fore and is a total weapon!!
