What age to start..........

Hi i have a one year old son. I have been working on a mini moto for him. I rebuilt the top end with a bigger barral and duel window piston. I put a K&N air fillter, sports exhst.

What age do you think he will be able to ride it?

Im thinking about 2??

Before anyone says anything i WILL be getting him a helmet and pads.

OH i forgot to say i had him on the Honda Shadow and he loved it.

2 years old seems awfully young to allow him to ride a mini-moto? I don't think I'd be comfortable letting my child on a bike before they were quite a bit older than that.

what about stabalizers? Could you put them on a motorbike?

I also think a two year old is too young.

I would want my kid to learn how to ride a push bike without stabilizers, before letting them lose on even a minimoto.

I'd get him riding a push iron first, to get him used to balancing.

Some one said about my K&N filter and exauhst the mini moto also had upgraded barral and duel window piston

Two seems a bit young! I wouldn't trust a two year old in one of those battery-powered toy jeeps, in case he decides to concentrate on pooing his pants instead of looking where he's going.

Agree about 2 is a bit young, my brother was 4 when my dad got his 1st minimoto, he wasn't at all comfortable on it, it was standard and it was too fast for him.
Think that if it can get you to about 30 at 12 stone, think of what it can do when 2st on it.

About 5 until he was comfortable riding on it. knowing what it can do etc.

Get him on a push bike 1st, let him learn the basics and then let him progress as he feels confident. No need to rush. Plenty of time.
