 |
|
I know you probably get asked this loads but I can't really find an awful lot.
Which sporty 125 bike would you recommend. I've got about £1500-2000 to spend depending on how much i want the bike
I take it two-stroke will be order of the day?
Thanks
Ben |

I'd say NSR125R,
For the amount you have you can get one in good nick so it will be very reliable as long as you take care of with with decent oil, let it warm up and general 2t care
Secondly it will leave pretty much all the rest of the 125's behind *grins*.
They come restricted as standards but can put out up to 28bhp, 100+mph deresticted allegedly, but then again it also means more regular servicing as the engine is working a lot harder.
If your looking for something fun with lots of performance i'd say its the best option. Also the bike has quiet a following and there are plenty of forums and info/advice (and alain) on the machine
Just out of interest, what 125's are faster than a derestricted NSR125?
-Jvr
Ps, dont be to tempted by cheap ones though, some have had a very hard life (thrashed by kids who dont know how to look after them) and can just cost more to get going right, but then again, i guess the same goes for most 125 sports bikes going *on the cheap* lol. |

Get a CG and stop being ghey :p
It's the same speed as more or less all 4t 125s, and it'll do what it says on the tin. to be honest, knowing that a load of people will be walking around and most probably brushing past the bike when it's parked up, i would rather have a CG with no plastics to be scratched up than a pretty sports bike with big fairings that can be damaged...
I've had 2... they take a beating
Mind you, i'm getting an nsr125 when i get my insurance payout...

nsr ftw, the rs125 and the mito are quicker than the nsr but need a great deal more attention to keep running well, the plastics for the nsr are also quite cheap. Bought mine as a non runner and after two days work it has never let me down and has started first time every time. About £1100-1200 spent including a new tyga exhaust not pictured, jets and other bits and pieces
