Did no one ever teach these idiots not to try & P.I.T. manoeuvre a bike?!
Also it's abit on an extreme response for someone allegedly running a red light, if they were a drug dealer fleeing a murder scene then I would understand.
I can't believe the cops only got a 60 day suspension, they could've easily killed the riders.

If their running and it get serious like that then i'd say thats plenty of reason to suspect something is up...
Running from the police is a serious offence and police chasing idiots in/on vehicles kill far to many people as it is.

Personally i have no sympathy for anyone running from the police.

Yes they are on a bike, yes throwing a car in front of them is a fairly aggressive tactic but what, should we wait untill theyhave taken out multiple pedestrians, OPS's for the bonus points and end up ploughing into a bus full of school children?

They are running to avoid the consequences of their own actions that they do not want to have to take responsibility for and are more than willing to endanger and take innocent peoples lives for what? Their own selfish urge to try and escape.

You can never stop it, people will always try and the cops will always persue. Give'em missiles and it'll probably sort the problem out though

In this case, ouch, yes that looked to hurt a lot but WTF were they trying to get away? What did they have to run for and it looks like there are plenty of cars after them... Somewhat futile i'd expect.

Forever seeing people on bikes rocket away from police cars only to have them pitch up on their tails later as they havnt noticed the helicopter buzzing over head lol (not that you'd hear it though i guess...).

Its quite clear the cops aren't capable of handling their job as it is, let alone missiles. The fact that some of them can't even see that shoving a car in front of a moving bike isn't a good idea then think what damage they could do with a missile.

You do have a fair point there...
They were developing an interesting little rocket buggy to shoot to vehicles in persuit that would shock the cars and kill the engines.

That might work, dont see it blowing up the local corner shops but dont really see it stopping bikes either

I remember seeing one of those 'police, camera, action-type' programmes on TV recently and seeing a similar incident by American police officers.



The narrator of the program then said something along the lines of, 'British police have stricter rules about this type of persuit and will more often than not; stop chasing motorcyclists if the persuit becomes too dangerous'.

There was one biker on one of those shows who had an expired sticker on his licence plate or something, the guy takes off and sure enough Deputy Zack is hot on his trail. Guy runs out of road and tries to go offroad only to bin it after about 10 seconds.

Gun drawn 'ON YOUR STOMACH!'

'I can't, my leg's broken!' (and it is, quite gruesomely)

'I SAID ON YOUR STOMACH!' shouts the cop, physically wrestling the guy over, who responds with an agonized scream as it wrenches his already fucked leg.

'THIS BIKER LEARNED A VALUABLE LESSON' says the narrator.

Yeah, the cops will kill you for the most minor of infractions.

Yea its true, if the motorcyclist is in danger to himself or others they will call off the pursuit, but i believe traffic cops have different views.

And more often than not, when a chance commences with a bike the chopper get above so the police can back off and not provoke any unnecessary dangerous riding.

I have seen on loads of British police programmes that the police won't chase a biker if they take off. So if your on a bike and getting a chase then ride a bit daft and get home before the helicopter comes out to play.

to be honest nothing surprise me with american cops,
iv got family there and i am scared of the police every time i see them out there,

we have a armed police force that responds to crimes where a threat is posed that fire arms use would be valid.....

they draw weapons for practically any thing, iv witness them pull guns on school kids for riding dirt bikes in a state where its not legal to (i don't get why ever)

you cant crash head on in to a biker to stop them, when there is a chance of killing
them (and pillion in this case), its not an aggressive tactic its a plain stupid one, where is the logic in it? its like giving them the death penalty minus the court date
