Which sports bike for ~£1750?

I've been looking at early blades, SRAD 750's, ZX7Rs..

Don't really want a 600.

Want an IL4.

Just curious as to what the people of BCF would suggest. I know it's not a huge budget but it's realistic and I can't say that mileage bothers me, for example.

There is loads of choice out there at the mo. I've just picked up a 99 GSX-R 600 with 18k on the clock, 2 new tyres and a new mot for £1400, its a bit tatty but it was nice and cheap Thumbs Up

Id look at ZX7Rs at that money or maybe save a little more for a k1 gsxr if its a 750 you want. 750's always seem to fetch a much higher price. ie you could get a cracking 600 with that budget.

What about a Daytona 595/955?

I just bought one for £1650. Admittedly I have never even ridden it/or one Laughing, but there a lot of bike for not a lot of money.

A ZX7 or even a C2 ZX9.

You'll need a bit more for a good GSXR70

I don't really want another twin. My last few bikes have been twins or singles and I facy something different, preferebly with decent low down power without the lumpiness.

T595's I have looked at. But do they handle? Always thought of them as a bit of a barge.

They handle.

However they handle in a way which will be unfamiliar if you have only ridden little flickable bikes. They aren't 'flickable' in the same way, but they turn well and are rock solid mid corner.
