Today I have mostly been buying a bandit 1250

So today I have been to pick this up

1250 Bandit, 57 plate previously owned by some 60 year old bloke who never took it above 70mph and absolutely immaculate condition and all I can say is wow, it's smooth, nothing rattles or vibratea, it goes like missile in comparison to the 600 diversion i've been riding for the past 2 years and it actually looks nice

Couldn't quite believe it started raining though about 30 minutes after I collected it, got a 5am start at work tomorrow and I may just have to take a slightly longer route in so I can get on a lovely deserted M62

dont normally like the bandit, but being a 1250 and with that lower fairing fitted I have to say it looks nice. How clean is that bike

i used to own one of these 1250`s and i found to get the most out of it buy a power commander and a tre module then it will fly i see 170 on my clocks once oh keep an eye on the down pipes the cat in the pipe gets a hot spot and shows throught the headers warrenty job replaced my eaders

I couldn't get on with one when I had it, found the engine really dull, although it is very powerfull, I didn't like the OE tyres either found them to slide about more than I'm used to. How are you finding the seat? I felt it was leaning forward to far and not the comfy considering it was a touring bike.

Looks nice and clean anyway enjoy it! I have heard they can be pursauded to hit 160mph on the clocks, not that I would have ever tried this

Good result getting those new bits as they would be the things that wears out - the paint is a bit thin.

There is quite a good mod you can do which smoothes out the throttle low down and give's it more drive at higher rev's. It doesn't cost anything to do either, but its a bit tricky as your pulling out the secondary butterflies from the throttle bodies. Really wakes the bike up though.

The OE tyres are rubbish - I binned mine after 2000 miles. Pilot Road 2's are a popular choice. I also put on renthal handlebars before I got to 1000 miles as it was hurting my wrists. The stock seat isn't great either - there is an suzuki gel seat which I have which is a big improvement, there are also Corbin and Sargant options available. I suppose the only other thing to look at is getting rid of the huge dustbin exhaust - and maybe fitting a bigger screen if you do lots of motorway.
