They bought the rights from Capcom, the only thing carried iver from revolver is the "dead eye" mechanic. Its pretty much a new game, dont know why they kept the "red dead" part.

Tbh Makaveli, in my opinion the special edition is a waste of time, since I'd much rather spend the time earning my way to the war horse etc, rather than just be given it, but it's up to you haha ;p
